What is the SRPoiSE 2018 Conference?

The Consortium for Socially Relevant Philosophy of/in Science and Engineering (SRPoiSE) aims to advance collaboration between philosophers, scientists, engineers, policy-makers, practitioners, and a wide range of publics to foster epistemically and ethically responsible scientific and technological innovation.
 
The conference will include symposia, individual presentations, and discussions of topics such as climate change and policy, sustainability, bioethics, robot ethics, information ethics, engineering ethics, ethics education, and others. The meeting will be structured to encourage dialogue and catalyze future collaborations in these important areas of research and practice. Attendees will include students, postdocs, faculty, and others who are actively researching these topics or who wish to examine these issues in the future and are looking to explore ways to do so.
